The dreaded yet anticipated day of admission was yesterday. Ava now resides at Hopkins for the next month or so. Our first day (yesterday, July 23) was pretty much uneventful. They started her on IV fluids and we basically waited all day to start the chemo. Drew came home to be with Audrey and I got to stay the first night with Ava. Ava and I both fell asleep around 11:30 pm and we both slept through her first half hour of chemo! I woke at 12:30 and the nurse said she was almost done...wow! We were so sick all day waiting for this moment, and it was over just like that. Sleep was rough our first night, nurses in and out, both Ava and mommy got around 4 hours of interrupted sleep.

Daddy came back around 10:30am today and he brought froggy chair!! Yay for froggy chair! Ava had a good day today, she was in awesome spirits...no sign of any side effects, still too early. I fixed up her room a little, made her crib comfy, and put pics up of the family for her. She ate, played, slept and was happy to be reunited with her chair.
