For anyone who wants to check in on Ava, we thought this would be an easy way to tell her story...

3 digits baby!!

...this is what the doctor said when he came to our room today.  Ava's platelets were 118,000, the normal range is 150,000 to 400,000. She has never been above 20,000 her entire little life...until recently. Its just so unreal, she was born with bone marrow that didn't work and now because of Audrey her bone marrow is doing what its supposed to do!  Her WBC were 2560 and her ANC was 900, both are still fluctuating as expected. All looks good :)
We had a really good nights sleep last night, no vomiting at all. Today she was a bit fussy, she has been off the pain meds but is still showing signs of being uncomfortable...her 2 new teeth coming in probably doesn't help. A home care nurse visited today to show us how to clean, flush and hook her up to her TPN (nutrition) which we will do every night before she goes to bed. The hospital also sends one of these nurses out to our home twice a day to help with it!!  After discharge on Monday, she will go back to hospital every Mon, Wed, and Fri to have blood and levels checked. Hopefully these visits will get shorter and shorter based on her progress and then we will be able to take her home...to our real home.
We got to be unhooked again today for 4 hours so I took advantage and gave Ava a nice warm bath. She played and splashed until the floor was flooded.
Drew relieved me of Ava duty around 4:00 and now Im home on Audrey, Casey, and Brennan duty. Going to sleep so I can be rested for another fun filled day with my platelet making girl!!
