For anyone who wants to check in on Ava, we thought this would be an easy way to tell her story...

a quick visit from Audrey today
I can't believe we get discharged tomorrow! As excited as I am, Im also terrified. We have had around the clock care for 29 days...now its just going to be me and Drew in charge. The nurses have shown us how to clean and flush her ports and today I was shown how to change her dressing, but its just scary to think they won't be there watching over our shoulder.
I was home all morning packing and cleaning things we need to take to our new home. Drew was with Ava and apparently had a great day, she was in a great mood for me also and seemed much more comfortable. She still refuses to eat but we just keep offering...hopefully she will take us up on it one day soon.
This hospital room has turned Ava into a TV junkie. I was never one to let Audrey watch a lot of TV when she was little, but you really have no choice here. Ava is obsessed with baby einstein videos and she cracks me up with how intense she is when watching.

  1. You made it, Mama. 30 Days and 30 Nights. I still cant believe youve had to worry about everyday things like dinner. You all should be absolved of those chores while going through this. So, now on to the next chapter. Ava will be a city girl ready to see the sights very soon. I'm so happy she is thriving. I hope you like your new place. Can u have visitors or not quite yet?
