For anyone who wants to check in on Ava, we thought this would be an easy way to tell her story...

Today was Ava's first clinic appointment since being discharged. She will go every Mon, Wed, and Fri until they feel comfortable enough with her progress. The appointment was great! Her numbers were high enough that she didn't need a transfusion or anything. Her platelets were 112,000 today!!  Our nurse went over things we should watch for and what to expect in the future.  Our main goal right now is to get her to eat. This coming Friday Ava will need to have another bone marrow biopsy, this is done at day 30....I can't believe it has been almost 30 days since transplant!
Our clinic visit was pretty quick since she didn't need anything, so I came back to apartment and sent Drew to fetch Audrey. I thought it would be fun (what was I thinking) to have her here with me and Ava for the day in this tiny, tiny, space.
Audrey got here around lunch time. I was done with the visit after 30 minutes...is it so bad to say that?? Don't get me wrong,  I love her beyond words, but she is HIGH MAINTENANCE.  Anyway, we had to wait for Ava's TPN delivery and then we took a nice long walk. It was so beautiful out!! We walked to the water, Ava fell asleep and I got Audrey some ice cream. That part of the day was really nice.

Thats really it, we basically just sat in this room here and stared at each other.
