For anyone who wants to check in on Ava, we thought this would be an easy way to tell her story...

Today was long. I got to the hospital around 10 am, and Im still here...till tomorrow afternoon. Ava was pretty fussy today and didn't show much interest in food, her last bottle was at 10;45 am and that was just 2 oz. We spent most of the day in my bed here. She is trying to climb and crawl everywhere! Its really cute but difficult for her to learn in a hospital room. It is sad that most of her "firsts" will be here, she is starting to pull herself up, crawl, and talk!!
The chemo definitely did its job, all of her #'s have dropped way down, close to zero...this is the time she is most at risk. They will probably give her a platelet transfusion tomorrow because they cant let her platelets drop below 10. The best part of the day was at 6:00 tonight when the nurse had to unhook her from ALL her lines to change tubing! We got to go for a walk around the halls, Ava wore her little mask but I could still see her grinning from ear to ear. We walked for 10 minutes or so, then came back to our room and got hooked back up to the many wires and tubing that tangle and beep all day and night. It is now 9:30 and she is fast asleep, heres hoping for a quiet night.
