Ava and I had a good night last night, we slept really well. I think we here at the hospital had a better night than Drew did at home. Audrey is having some potty issues, is on day 5 of no relief (if you know what I mean). She has been on an iron supplement for over a week now, and needs to continue it for 3 more weeks...iron is known to constipate. She had been so uncomfortable, laying around, scared to go...
She spent all of Sat with her best friend, came home and cried. I felt so bad! She put on a happy face while on the inside she was so uncomfortable. Drew tried sitting with her most of the evening, but no luck. This morning she went to another friends house so Drew could come to hospital to relieve me. I picked her up and it was horrible! She was a wreck...crying and stressing over our fun day on the toilet. Our "mommy & Audrey day" turned into "mommy give enema day"...
I'll have you know that all came out fine in the end :) Oh, but after that, we lost electricity and all my smoke alarms were going off at the same time. I ran around the house, standing on chairs trying to unscrew them from the ceiling. I was hot and tired and I still had to feed us, thats when Sheri called and invited us to Bonefish with her and Jena...a great end to my crappy day (no pun intended).
Drew on the other hand had a good day with Ava. She is still eating some for us and definitely happy. We did have another scare with her central line. Drew called me tonight to tell me they were taking another chest x-ray to make sure it was still in, they weren't able to get blood back when trying to draw. I got so scared, my big fear is that its out and she will need surgery again to replace it. Thankfully the x-ray showed its still in, apparently there was a clot that needed some IV something or other to dissolve it. Whatever they did, it responded well and all was good again...thank goodness. I cant wait to see her face tomorrow morning!
Yay for Sheri and Bonefish Grille! Also for enemas I guess in the long run. Poor baby, please give both girls a big hug from all of us here. xoxo
