I think its safe to say that Ava is officially eating!!  She still doesn't eat enough, but she shows interest and opens her mouth for everything it seems...except formula. Ava hasn't had a bottle of formula since the hospital when chemo started. She absolutely refuses formula, which is a shame because formula has all the nutrients she needs. We are hoping that in time she will get a taste for it again. For now I am happy with today's menu of 1/2 a banana, some diced cooked carrots, some cherrios, jar baby food, and some matzoh ball soup...she ate more than I have all week.
All this food has led to normal poops too! For over a month Ava has had diarrhea, water just coming out of her. Today was a perfectly normal poop! Its crazy how excited I got, its just so nice to see her body functioning normally.
It was a good day.  Im getting used to this place, its like I now have 2 households to run. I go to the grocery store and do food shopping for this place, clean, do my laundry here, cook, and care for Ava, then I go home to my real house and go food shopping, do laundry, clean, and take care of those kids...It never stops!!
