For anyone who wants to check in on Ava, we thought this would be an easy way to tell her story...

Where to start? Lets see, we are now being admitted next week not this week, the waiting is horrible, we just want to start this process already and get it going. While we wait for the next step, Ava and I continue our fun filled days. She is ALL OVER THE PLACE! She follows me everywhere I go, Drew calls her a rugrat. I am so in love with this little girl.
Over the weekend Audrey stayed the night with me and Ava, and as always it was stressful...but necessary. Ava LOVES seeing Audrey and thinks she is so funny. It was nice having them together but this place is just way too small to entertain them both.
On Sunday Drew and I got to have some alone time with Audrey. Nana and Goompa came for a couple of hours and sat with Ava so we could take Audrey to lunch. Ava was an angel for them. Audrey on the other hand was not an angel for us, but we still made the best of it and let her have us to herself. We took her to the harbor and had lunch at Cheesecake Factory, then walked around for a bit. It was nice having the break from Ava.
does it get more touristy than this??
We are now working on finding a new place, something a little roomier. I have an appointment on Thursday to see an apt that meets our needs. Its in Fells Point which is close to hospital, shops and food. Its furnished, 2 bdr, 2 ba, and hardwood floors...the only problem is that we would be going from something thats basically free to something thats not. This leads me to tonights story...
So, earlier I decide to throw in a load of laundry, get Ava out for a change of scenery. I only had dimes and nickels, so I knocked on my fellow bone marrow transplant neighbor's door to see if she had quarters. What made me do that? I normally would have waited till tomorrow when I could get quarters, but something made me knock on her door. Let me tell you...she had me step into her apartment while she got the quarters...HER APARTMENT, her 2 bedroom, hardwood floors, beautifully updated, big, spacious (big and spacious compared to what we are in) apartment!!! My mouth dropped to the floor. She gave me a tour and then told me she was leaving for home tomorrow or in a few days!! How long do you think it took before Drew and I were calling the office here for dibs on this apt?? I called the guy from "Believe in Tomorrow" (the organization that provides us with the housing here) right from my neighbor's apt!  I then called Drew babbling on and on about how perfect this apt is and how awesome it would be to stay in this location and still have the housing offered to us. Our apt and this other one is like night and day, seriously, we had no idea that right next door was an apartment like this. Its even decorated to my liking...is it meant to be? We aren't trying to sound greedy, and we really are appreciative of what they have done for us so far, but I can't see us spending 2-3 more months in this unit. It was after 5:00 pm when I called, so I left a message and Drew wrote him an email...we are really annoying. I guess we will have to wait till morning to find out!!
